Hyper-local News In The Post-Newspaper Era

Another good post from http://techdirt.com they do good coverage of transition to new media world-death of old.

"Rather than simply wringing his hands about how the decline of the newspaper means that no one will report local news, Reason's Jesse Walker actually gives some thought to where local news coverage might come from in a post-newspaper world." http://techdirt.com/articles/20090319/2046544191.shtml

And blackberry is bringing out exactly the type of TV service we are offering, but on a mobile phone – its "stupidly simple" so should work fine if they can access the content.

“By downloading content in the background over Wi-Fi, RIM would avoid clogging 3G networks. Downloaded programs would be ready to play when users want to watch them on the go. And once 3G networks finally get up to speed, customers may just want to upgrade.”
